Community Engagement

Coral fragmenting outreach event teaching the public how corals are restored

A Pathway for Collaboration

We work with our partners to reach audiences of all ages and backgrounds to inspire the ocean stewardship.

Through educational outreach, restoration events, joining conferences, and media-based storytelling, we work to drive authentic awareness around coral restoration in Hawaiʻi.

Connecting Communities to Coral Reefs

Our team works to provide memorable, hands-on experience with coral where community members can participate in direct restoration using Hawaiʻi-specific techniques.

Our experiential restoration and outreach events are an opportunity for us to learn from community members, while also sharing our approach to restoration and promoting appreciation for our ocean.

Our priorities:

  • Build community relationships for restoration

  • Promote regenerative tourism

  • Support partners around Hawaiʻi

  • Educate the next generation through hands-on learning
